Leo Aquino is a screenwriter, poet, and award-winning journalist. Their queer romcoms and immigrant family sitcoms have earned them coveted spots in the Lambda Emerging Writers Fellowship (2022), The Disruptors Fellowship (2022), and the CBS Leadership Pipeline Program (2023-2024). Leo writes stories for film and TV where the characters laugh twice as much as they cry. As a journalist, Leo covers anti-capitalist personal finance, sharing life-changing financial literacy resources for queer & trans people in the US. They are the founder of Queer & Trans Wealth, an organization that provides affordable financial coaching and workshops to communities across the US.
