Jasmin Benward (She/They) is a Texas born Black, queer, invisibly disabled, multi-gifted artist who currently lives in South Los Angeles by way of Atlanta, Georgia and Brooklyn, New York. Jasmin appreciates multidisciplinary art and joyfully expresses herself through writing, music, and movement as an Author, Essayist, Screenwriter, Music Supervisor/Creative Sync Coordinator, A&R Representative, Songwriter, Poet, Public Educator, and a Family Wellness Instructor. Journalism bylines from Jasmin include publications from Refinery29, Healthline, Cashmere Magazine, and The Black Femme Collective. Jasmin is a GLAAD Black Queer Creative Summit Inaugural Finalist (2023), The Center for Cultural Power Disruptors Screenwriting Fellow (2023), a Women in Film Artisan and Crew Music Supervision Fellow (2023), and an Unlock Her Potential Songwriting Mentee (2024). Jasmin’s mission is to uplift marginalized narratives and the overall experience of BIPOC folk through storytelling and community activations.
